Beaver lake Striper fishing guide report

Striper activity forecast for the week is: FAIR

POOR-FAIR-GOOD
BAILEY'S BEAVER LAKE GUIDE SERVICE(479)366-8664 Beaver lake striper are scattered due to the cool water temperature and can be caught from point 12 to the Indian Creek area. White bass, small striper and hybrids are schooling on the surface. Throw small kastmaster spoons to schooling fish. Make sure you do not keep striper under 20 inches and not more than 3 striper or hybrid or combination, Walleye must be 18 inches long with a limit of 4! Beaver lake striper fishing will be fair with striper taken on live shad fished on down lines and lightly weighted balloon lines trolled 100-150ft back 8-35ft deep. 3 way rig trolling RAPALA'S is also producing, try Rapala #14 husky jerk's in black back or purple back colors. Beaver lake stripers will be located in area's holding bait near the main channel.
Know your species and make sure you identify any fish you keep. There is no limit on white bass, there is a 3 fish limit on striper/hybrid and a 20 inch minimum length on striper. You may not keep more than 3 striper and hybrid in combination.

Fish location is greatly influenced by lake level and current flow, current in the lake from generation will generally position fish on upstream or down stream edges of structure......check the daily lake level and flow data link on my web site.
Live shad as always on Beaver Lake when fishing for Trophy Stripers is the go to approach. Stripers are hitting shad in the 4-8 inch range.

On the mid and lower sections check out these area's. Water surface temps in the low to mid 40's.
Dam-
Point 1-
Indian creek- HOT SPOT! Beaver Lake striped bass are being caught in this area...look in past lost bridge an in the mouth of Indian creek.
Lost bridge north- HOT SPOT! Beaver Lake striped bass are being caught in this area...
Point 3-HOT SPOT! Beaver Lake Striper are in the area, check the humps near the cedar thicket and in fish trap hollow!
Point 4-
Lost bridge south- Beaver Lake Striper are in the area, try looking on the flat between LBS and fish trap hollow.
Point 5- Beaver Lake Striper are active here.
Point 6- Beaver lake striper caught in the Van hollow area near twin coves. This area has been good for walleye!
Big Clifty area- HOT SPOT! Beaver lake striped bass are being caught here Check the flats between the Big Clifty and Henry Hollow arms! Tons of shad in the area!!!
Rocky Branch- Beaver lake striper are in the area. Try the island and the road bed that extends to the island. Also check the little islands in front of the Larue boat ramp. Striper taken here at night with large rat-l-traps!
Larue-Beaver Lake Striper taken in cedar creek, ford creek and goat island at larue! White bass, hybrids and small stripes are chasing bait on the surface! Striper taken here at night with large rat-l-traps
Copper mine-
Ventris-
Upper section- Beaver Lake Striper are in these areas.
Hwy 12 bridge-
Prairie creek-HOT SPOT! Striper, white bass and walleye are being taken here. Fish being taken on the flats and cuts around the islands. There has been schooling fish here for several days, check around deer island! Walleye are also being taken on kastmaster spoons fished near the bottom. Trolling with cordell spots, shad raps, hot-n-tots, and tail dancers have all been producing walleye, white bass.
Coose Hollow-HOT SPOT! Try both arms of coose hollow, there have been schools of whites working their way through here. Striper caught here.
Blackburn Creek- Walleye being caught here on the flats near the channel with shad rap's, hot-n-tot's or bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses. Striper caught here.
Beaver shores- Walleye being caught here on the flats near the channel with shad rap's, hot-n-tot's or bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses. Striper caught here.
Escapalia Hollow/Falls Hollow-
Horseshoe bend- Striper caught here in the channel where it meets the flats. Walleye being caught here on the flats near the channel with shad rap's, hot-n-tot's or bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses
Montne- Walleye being caught here on the flats near the channel with shad rap's, hot-n-tot's or bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses
Hickory creek- A few stripes being caught here.
War Eagle-
War eagle/White river junction(point 12)- Walleye being caught here. Striper also caught here up river to natural walk road.
Blue springs area-.

WALLEYE

Most walleye are about 5-15ft deep, fish are being taken off area flats near the channel. Try the area's mentioned above...
Flat line troll with hot-n-tot's, rapala tail dancers, shad raps, reef runners, or ripstiks in natural blue or black back combos or chartreuse/orange and clown colors .
Also Try cotton cordell super spots and rattle traps in similar colors!
Jigging spoons around brush and rock piles are also producing.
